Windermere Preparatory School

Project Scope

Shade structure installation, resurfacing existing tennis and basketball court, plus a new sand volleyball court installation.

Description of Work

We were contracted through Windermere Preparatory School to design and build custom shade structures for the baseball field picnic area, baseball field VIP bleacher area, football field bleacher area, courtyard picnic area and archery area.

We were also contracted to repair and resurface five existing tennis courts, resurface an existing basketball court, and to install a custom sand volleyball court.

Basketball Court

The basketball court project required us to clean the court and then repair cracks and patch work on entire court area, sand smooth and level out all bird baths, supply and install black acrylic resurfacer, supply and install color coating with specific school choice colors as well as stripe dot and ladder drills on the court.

Volleyball Court Creation

For the new construction sand of a volleyball court, we cleared out the area and excavated the ground. We created a border for the court, installed a layer of fabric and filled the court area in with beach type sand.

We also installed the volleyball netting and posts. Additionally, we installed the custom concrete paver walkway, fire pit and retention wall.

Sports Court (Tennis) Resurfacing

The tennis courts project required us to first clean the courts. Then, we had to repair cracks and the patch work on the entire court area. Next, we sanded and leveled out all bird baths, supplied and installed black acrylic resurfacer, supplied and installed color coating with specific school choice colors, and striped all tennis courts.

Shade Structure Installation

Each project included installing cantilever shade structures. We supplied and installed the structures which required us to excavate footers, supply, build and install specialty rebar cages, and supply and install anchor bolts. We then installed footings with concrete work as well as installed the shade structure.

Specialty Turf Installation

We built a custom halo design for the field, with speciality colors.  We also completed a custom turf installation for the baseball team’s “on-deck” area.
